The past, present, and future continue to collide in the world of Baron Von Alias.
His latest single, “Buck Rogers,” brings together Baron, The High & Mighty’s Mr. Eon, and Copywrite over production from Doc Sus, complete with cuts courtesy of DJ Mighty Mi.
Named after the iconic science-fiction adventurer associated with the 25th century, the song turns its futuristic concept into a declaration of lyrical confidence. Baron imagines the three MCs operating so far ahead of their time that their competition simply can’t catch up.
That idea is captured perfectly through DJ Mighty Mi’s “They Can’t Think, They Can’t Speak” cuts, giving the track a phrase that ties its competitive spirit and sci-fi concept together.
There’s also a bigger story unfolding beyond the single. “Buck Rogers” continues Baron’s rollout toward Bootstrap Paradox, his forthcoming album built around time travel, interconnected narratives, and stories that eventually circle back on themselves.
By bringing established underground names such as The High & Mighty and Copywrite into that universe, Baron continues connecting his larger concept with the raw fundamentals of hip-hop.
The result is a track that respects where the culture came from while imagining where it could go next.
