“True To The Game Movie” Gets Over 500K Sales In It’s First Week Of Hitting Theaters

Producer Manny Halley, Yolanda Halley, and author Teri Woods makes history in the film world this week. For the very first time in the entertainment business, we got to witness an urban independent film hit theaters across the globe and received 550K in sales. True To The Game was written by Nia Hill and directed by Preston A. Whitmore. Stars like Columbus Short, Vivica A. Fox, Andra Fuller, Draya Michele, Nelsan Ellis, Jennifer Freeman, and Malcolm D. Kelley all starred in this motion picture.

Creating classics that we can all enjoy was always a goal of Manny Halley’s. Years ago Teri Woods let her fans know that her novels would one day turn into a movie. Manny, who is the CEO of Imani Motions Pictures, made sure everything she spoke into existence manifested. Erica Peeples, finally got her big break into the mainstream world playing Gena in “True To The Game”, along with Iyana Halley who played Bria, and Lorenzo Eduardo, who played Winston.

Manny Halley has a lot of people lost for words right now. With no studio budget or heavy media/tv promotion, this outstanding executive producer was able to bring in more sales than Whoopi Goldberg and Charlie Sheen new film 9/11. In their first week they only got $163K in sales with heavy mainstream promotion, which True To The Game didn’t have.
