The new J Dilla project Dillatronic is now in stores everywhere. Presented by Ma Dukes and Vintage Vibez Music Group, Dillatronic contains over 40 rare instrumentals that showcase Dilla’s undeniable electronic influences. To celebrate the album’s release, fellow Detroit native Young RJ aka Blaq RoyalT is releasing the exclusive remix “OverDose”, which finds the emcee/producer rhyming over a Dillatronic instrumental. A Jay Dee protege and a current member of Dilla’s former group Slum Village, RJ shares a special connection with Dillatronic. “These tracks are still ahead of their time sonically,” he says. “The things producers are doing now, Dilla did that 15 years ago.”
