During Hispanic Heritage Month Afro-Latino MC/producer Mic Mountain released his new album ‘Mas Piragua.’ The album is a follow-up to ‘Piragua’ and features a selection of heavy-hitting emcees.
Although the album is self-produced the D.C.-based artist enlisted DJ Erex and legendary producer Domingo (Big Pun) for some tracks. From start to finish the album is brewing with infectious mixes of classic Hip Hop instrumentals with Latin-influenced melodies, along with fresh breakbeats. With blatantly blunt wordplay and profound lyricism, Mic shares his story of growing up as a multi-cultural teenager trying to understand his diverse heritage amid a time it wasn’t easily embraced or accepted. His raw emotion, as well as skillfully crafted production, underlines his heritage and correlation with Hip Hop.
