Nauticah is a talented and well outspoken creative artist. This young superstar has what it takes to be the next Nicki Minaj. Her new record “Coca” ft. Rich Dunk goes super hard and is definitely for the clubs. You can tell that creating music was something she was born to do. Check out the exclusive interview below!!!

1. Tell me about yourself and what inspired you to pursue music.

My name is Nauticah, I’m an artist from North Carolina. I started off just dancing when I was like 11, but the more people wanted me to perform when I was young, singing just came naturally then rapping followed, and the more I went through in life writing made me challenge myself, and I’m competitive, so I started taking everything I did seriously, and I was spending so much time either practicing, or listening to older acts and studying their performances and lyrics, it just made sense that music would be my career choice, I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.

2. How did you get your start in the industry?

My big cousin was actually in the girl group Rich Girl and June’s Diary, she helped me make my first song ever when I was like 14, she taught me a lot about how to actually make a song, but I didn’t really get hands on with networking until I moved to Atlanta, I stayed with a family friend and she was always at industry events so that’s what helped me meet a lot different producers, writers, stuff like that. Now that I’m back in NC, a lot of people I meet really be from networking on social media, and just staying up to date with what’s going on.

3. What current projects are you working on?

I’m working on an EP right now, a sneak peak into the more sexual, over the top, boss bitch side of me. Something to inspire other young women not to hide their confidence and sexuality.

4. Do you have any mixtapes out right now? If so what’s the names of it?

No, this will be my first of many projects. I definitely see myself dropping more soon though.

5. Who have you collaborated with in the industry and how was your experience?

Rich Dunk is the first signed artist I’ve made a record with, he’s one of the coolest people I’ve met so far so it just made sense to have a song with him, especially since we both from the Carolinas.

6. If you could work with anybody dead or alive who would of be and why?

I definitely gotta do something with Peter Pablo, that’s North Carolina all day, but dead, I would bring back Tupac and work with him closely. I talk to my momma about a lot on a regular basis, and she always told me that was who I could learn a lot from, he was ahead of his time and a lot of stuff he talked about I now have interest in, so just working and learning from him would be cool.

7. Are there other business ventures you would like to get into?

I would love to be in fashion, maybe collaborating with some major designer brands, I’m always dressed up so it would be nice to get paid to do it.

8. Where do you see yourself 2 to 5 years from now?

Five years from now, I see myself on tour.

9. Where can people find you on social media?

You can find me on Instagram and Twitter @nautitoohotty, YouTube and Facebook Nauticah, and my website nauticah.com for the latest news and music updates.
