Slater The Genius is an artist from the DMV area who takes pride in his lyricism and conceptual based visuals and style. His sound is smooth and blends jazz, lofi, and trap music all in one. His style is unique in itself but you can hear influences from Kanye West, Isaiah Rashad, and Big Krit.

Slater has been growing releasing thought provoking and life reflection tracks with visual like “The Cleanse” and “Bible”. Both released in 2018 and immediately set him apart from several artist. He’s not scared to speak his mind or say how he feels.

Slater has performed at The Fillmore with his duo, 84 Faces, Velvet Lounge in DC, Wicked Bloom, On The Rocks, Maryland University Homecoming, Bowie State University, SXSX , and many more great venues.

His visual for “The Cleanse” was featured on DC Mumbo Sauce and The Every Day Weekend. The track features Slater The Genius bringing us to his reality with a one-take expressing his frustrations on how far he’s willing to go to get what he wants.
