Super-producer Dem Jointz has a brand new track and music video to share today. The song – titled LAWZ – directly addresses the disturbing topic of American police murdering black citizens.
The Compton native passionately expresses his frustrations and pain with piercing vocals, set over a powerfully melodic beat that befits a track with such a strong subject matter. The song, which Dem Jointz also produced, features Racella DeGuia and is from his forthcoming project DEM-A-GOD.
The song is accompanied by a music video full of heart-wrenching imagery that captures just a fraction of the pain and suffering that terrorizes victims of police brutality and institutional racism.
The video takes a graphic look at the problem through gripping symbolism, including images of body bags hanging and piling up, a clear reference to a problem many see as America’s modern day lynching.
No stranger to the industry, Dem Jointz has collaborated with music heavyweights like Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera and many more as a producer and writer.
He’s also started sharing his own talents as an artist himself, most recently with the release of a joint project with K.A.A.N. titled The Black Blood LP.
