Ciphurphace, the Arizona-born, New Jersey-based emcee known for his rapid-fire delivery, battle-ready bars & humorous punchlines, releases the fourth single – with accompanying visuals – from his In Phaced God We Trust EP, which was released late last year as a joint venture between Tucson’s own Effin Elements Entertainment & NYC-based indie label SpaceLAB Recordings.
The self-proclaimed “Asian Pierce Brosnan with a beard problem” comes out the gate swinging with a machine-gun flow that acts as both an ode to his proactive pen game, as well as a cautionary warning to ill-equipped challengers on the microphone…. “punchlines pack M. Tyson, M. Bison power.”
Produced by SpaceLAB Recordings founder Jake Palumbo, who also provides the cut-&-scratch
hook as well as a guest appearance to close out the record, also speaking on his lyrical prowess, but in the snarky & sarcastic sneer that has become a trademark for the Brooklyn-based emcee & producer – “You should pop a couple No Doz / & join F***boys Anonymous, you like your own photos.”
Ciphurphace & Jake Palumbo have previously teamed up for the 2013 collaborative LP SouthBySouthwest, under the group name Moonshine Burrito, & have a lengthy history of appearing on one other’s projects since meeting on tour in 2007.
You can purchase “The Righteous Hour” on iTunes and Bandcamp or stream on Soundcloud.
