Born in Queens NY, J White relocated to Greensboro, NC at an early age. Like many of us, his family came from the struggle. To look at J White today, most wouldn’t believe that he was raised in some of the city’s most notorious housing projects. His upbringing taught him to survive, and J later applied what he learned in the streets to the entertainment industry.

At the age of 20, J began to manage his cousin Brandon D. Together they were able to ink a deal with Elektra Records. The label folded a couple years later, and the duo decided go independent. They formed Naps Krew Ent. over a decade ago, to this day it remains as the highest selling indie label in North Carolina’s history with over 1 million records sold.

Naps Krew slowed down when J moved to Los Angeles, by that time he had already reached legendary status in his local music scene. While in LA, J earned a spot on tour with Grammy Award winning vocalist Anthony Hamilton. He also begin to rub shoulders with other talented artists, managers, producers, and industry executives.

A bad business partnership forced J to cut his time short on the West Coast, and refocus on building what he had at home. After moving back he teamed up with a pair of producers known as Chop Houze (Nikki Minaj, Young Thug, Jadakiss). The relationship grew and they decided to open a studio to rival those in major markets. The partnership worked, and the quality was so impressive that J was asked to manage the studio of Atlanta based record label Street Execs (2 Chainz, Young Dolph, Bankroll Fresh).

J White spent a year in Atlanta, when a new opportunity arose. He was requested to be the tour manager for BJ The Chicago Kid on Big Krit’s Kritically Acclaimed Tour. He came home rejuvenated, and after gaining even more industry knowledge he decided that it was time to release his own project. Maserati White is a 12 song collection that blends hustle, top notch production, comedy and entrepreneurial spirit all into one. The project is slated for a 4th quarter release and has everyone, from industry executives to street hustlers anticipating what will happen next.
