Milwaukee, Wisconsin – You’ve never met an artist quite like Denny Lanez, and when you hear his music, you’ll understand why he’s made such waves in the music industry. But before he could be a successful rapper and performer, he was a little boy from Milwaukee, raised by a widow. Denny’s father passed away while the artist was only an infant. But his devoted mother, determined to raise him to be the upstanding and talented individual he is today, has always been Denny’s support system and motivation to reach the top. “I do this for her and only her. To make a better life for her, because she’s always been my support,” explains the rapper, a doting and grateful son in search of a brighter future for his family.
Denny Lanez draws influence from a variety of other artists, from Lil Wayne to The Temptations and 50 Cent. His diverse taste in music lends itself to his unique sound. “I’m always trying new things, and thinking out of the box,” he says, explaining that his personal brand of rap is less confined, less niche than most of the music on the radio these days.
Listeners will get another taste of Denny’s captivating style with the release of his newest mix-tape, ’96, which drops on April 7th. He calls the mix-tape “turnt, but with a message.” Fans can expect the project to be high energy, but don’t let that fool you – the lyrics will still have substance.
His other most recent project, a single entitled “Dominate,” is starting to make moves at various radio stations. The song is quick and intense, and bound to leave listeners wanting more. You can listen to the song on YouTube.
