Anthony Hamlin aka Rumor was born on March 16, 1993. Rumor was born in Ellsworth, Maine. His first living memory, the furthest he can trace back, his oldest memory is a snippet of “Gangster’s Paradise” by Coolio. He was 3 years old but could not help his fascination for rhymes.
Rumor spent most of his childhood playing sports and hoping to go to college. During this time, to calm down for sporting events, he began to freestyle in his head. During 11th grade Rumor began to experiment with illegal substances. This is also when he began to physically write music. In the winter of 2010, Rumor ran into legal trouble, and his high school tried to expel him from the school. The expulsion hearing was held on his birthday of his senior year. During the time off from school, Rumor began to grow as an artist.
Rumor is exactly as his name depicts: a Rumor. He has virtually no professional experience but gained the attention of Troy Douglas at Shadowspear Music Group after releasing his debut single Don’t Forget produced by Zaytoven. Although possessing a limited catalog, Rumor has displayed the ability to deliver hard verses with power to them. With a mix of hard verses and light melodies, the tracks are easy to have a good time to.
January 7th 2017 his new E.P. (5 songs) was released for streaming and purchase at Itunes. The E.P. has two tracks produced by Zaytoven and a track featuring Waka Flocka which makes this E.P. even more special.
