Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman, known as the dynamic pop duo of Lion Babe, have announced the details of their hotly awaited debut album, Begin and decided to celebrate with a packed house full of press and fans alike at their listening party last night at the swank Django @ The Roxy Hotel, proudly hosted by Stashed Magazine and AfroPunk.
“The fans can look forward to the direction,” Jillian said. “It’s the journey and the message that we wanna say and we just wanna connect them to a lot of positive vibes.”
The album features 14 incredibly soulful tracks created by the duo and includes collaborations with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Childish Gambino, Andrew Wyatt and Al Shux. Critically acclaimed numbers such as ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Impossible’, ‘Jump Hi’, ‘Jungle Lady’ and their first ever song ‘Treat Me Like Fire’, sit alongside brand new cuts – set to be future classics – ‘Stressed OUT’, ‘Satisfy My Love’, ‘On The Rocks’ and their brand new single ‘Where Do We Go’. Begin drops Friday, February 5th.
