From the borough of the Boogie, comes a young man by the name of Derek Ward (also known to the world as emcee dotDemo) a hip hop prodigy who made himself highly buzzworthy in 2014 with his debut mixtape, Delta Theory: File 1. Through his rapping, networking and philanthropic ideas, Demo has created what he describes as a “regime” that includes himself and several other new and upcoming artists that all share the same vision.

Not all of the youth from this generation learned much about their hip hop history, but the 22-year-old emcee became heavily influenced by artists such as Black Moon, J Dilla and Camp Lo. dotDemo happened to use that very same influence for his critically acclaimed, Golden-Era laced visual to “Indigenous Man”, the first single off of his upcoming project, S.I.N. (Somewhere In Nirvana) which was directed by Nick Von Gremp. Dot describes his style as a “melodic flow that uses verbal acrobatics to create colorful imagery for his audience to bring ‘the 90’s in the thousands’”. Stay tuned for more from this  Bronx Bomber as he continues to shock the music world with his next single, “Sinister“.
