O.B.A.$. stands for (O.nly B.rothas A.nd S.istas), born on October 2, 1983 in Orlando Florida, being the 3rd youngest of 10 children, struggle was eminent. Being of Haitian descent through both parents and being raised on American soil, exposed O.B.A.$. to the trials and tribulations of life early. living in the belly of street ills, a young poet would emerge. Touching a microphone for the first time ever in February 2005, this young man immediately showed and proved a talent far beyond his peer group. Enlisting himself in rap battles in his residing state of Connecticut, in less than six months to the date he became reigning champion with a record of 32-0!. With new recognition, he self released a series of mixtapes with his lifelong theme “Eyez On The Prize”. With great responses, Vol. 1,2, and 3 launched O.B.A.$. to local stardom. Upon Building his buzz, Connecticut’s #1 Radio Station Hot 93.7 WZMX program director “Dj Buck” granted him an interview. “My movement is based off the struggle of the people”, he cited, “I am one with the slums, raised in the streets along with having the dreams of the elite”, his moniker. Several street magazines and dvd’s such as; (STREET-CONNFINEMENT-Magazine/ The Come Up-DVD/Cocaine City-DVD/One-Self Magazine/ Street Enigma Magazine/Tha Katch22 Project-DVD/ Boom Banging TV/ Video City TV/ B CAT TV(Brooklyn NY) along with a string of others would line up to interview him. Equipped with a stage presence like no other, live performance shows would separate him from the amateurs. Opening up for headliners such as; Dip Set/ D Block/ Fabolous/ Red Cafe/ Mos Def/ Floetry/Papoose/Beanie Sigel/State Property/French Montana/Max B with many others from various states from Boston to Florida. O.B.A.$. has been building a core following while making the industry aware of his presence. On November of 2015, releasing “Eyez On The Prize-Tale of A Survivor Mixtape on Spinrilla and Datpiff.com, garnished the emcee well over 60,000 views and downloads combined.
