Easy Mo Bee has worked with hip hop powerhouses such as The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Alicia Keys (which earned him a Grammy for his work on The Diary of Alicia Keys), and with late jazz great Miles Davis. Although he doesn’t consider himself a fulltime DJ, Easy loves his records. You can catch him every second Friday at the Meatpacking District’s Subrosa with his Soul in the Horn party and every third Fridays at his Recordnition party at Brooklyn’s Kinfolk, spinning his behind off. He has an album out called …And You Don’t Stop!, a beat record that dropped earlier this year and the man is still doing big things. I had the supersized honor of sitting down with the producer as he spoke about his love of hip hop, crate digging, the East. vs. West Coast issue and a great memory while working on Miles on this episode of Phone Tap.
