Several months ago, Boston lyricist M-Dot let loose the 1st official single, “Shine” off his long awaited debut album, Ego and the Enemy. The track, which evokes raw hip hop balanced with a current-day clean sound immediately was embraced worldwide, accumulating over 100k plays collectively over multiple audio platforms. Now he follows up with visuals to the Wu-Tang’s Method Man, Dominique Larue & vocalist Katy Gunn assisted smash in this aesthetically pleasing, creatively focused animated offering by Serbian based director Vladamir Medarevic & the StreetHearted Videos team.
Over the course of the 4 minute vividly illustrated parable, “Shine” imaginatively depicts a group of young, ‘Independent’ minds fighting through the covert grip of their oppressors in order to once again illuminate society. The video uniquely showcases the constant conflict between good vs. evil, light vs. darkness.
