Many in the fashion and music industry know Sunshine Smith-Williams as the Co-owner of the popular brick & mortar and online boutique je t’aime Shoes. In recent weeks, most of the country has become familiar with Sunshine as the prison mate of Reality star Teresa Giudice from the Bravo television’s Housewives of New Jersey. Sunshine Smith-Williams remained silent and steadfast as her name was slandered in the media for claims that she doled out information to the press about Teresa. Sunshine has vehemently denied the accusation to those close to her. Regardless of her innocence, Sunshine was mentioned in publications UsWeekly, E News, Intouch Magazine and The Wendy Williams Show as the source.
Sunshine spent 5 months in a Danbury, Connecticut prison for being in the wrong car with the wrong person. According to the Queens, New York born native, the experience enlightened her views of the world and compelled her to write her latest book Sunny 101 -The 10 Commandments of a Boss Chick. Released on March 11th 2015, the book is a self-help guide on lifestyle choices & business survival for young disadvantage women. During her book signing, Sunshine said, “One bad decision to help someone can cost you your freedom” referring to the reason for her incarceration.
Just before being arrested, Sunny was featured in Straight Stuntin Magazine touted as a Female Entrepreneur. On her way to the magazine’s 6th edition event to celebrate her 4-page spread, Sunny did not realize she was in for a bad ride.
