Rapper Drag On is back and better than ever before! Formerly with the Ruff Ryders, known for his clever lyrics, expressive chops and undeniable talent, his new single “NRG (New Rap God)” featuring Juice is out now on Amazon, Google Play and other digital music outlets.
Drag On blazed onto the music scene in 2000 as one of the original artists under the renowned Ruff Ryders Entertainment imprint, via which Interscope Records released his debut album, called Opposite of H2O. That CD solidly established his place in hip-hop, debuting at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 500,000 copies and earning him a Gold record from the RIAA.
Since then he has started his own record label, “Hood Environment”. These days Drag-On lives in the studio, continuously honing his skills and perfecting his craft. I caught up with the rapper as we spoke about music, Steven Segal and the Ruff Ryders after the Ruff Ryders.
