It looks like the situation between Lil Wayne and Birdman is not getting better anytime soon. In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Weezy broke the silence on his $51 million lawsuit against his long-time label Cash Money Records. Although he did not disclose any details regarding the matter, he revealed that he and Birdman are no longer speaking.
“I have no words. I’m super-numb to it, to tell you the truth…I’m human, but it’s nothing a good blunt can’t cure.”
He also confirmed that The Carter V is “100% finished (“Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit,”) but that The Free Weezy Album will arrive first, for free, in March.
“I’m working on it every day, man. I guarantee it’s going to be something dope. If you don’t want a musician being creative, don’t get The Free Weezy Album.”
He also shared that he’s a fan of Rae Sremmurd and Migos and admitted that the steady change of slang makes him feel old.
