New York City-based Hip-hop lyricist Josh Jacobs released the art cover for his new introspective mixtape titled I Know Now. The cover features a black & white photo of Josh Jacobs at age 2 being held by his mother. It poignantly illustrates the potential and vulnerability of Josh Jacobs, the artist. The image represents the importance of building a foundation in one’s self through the support of family. During struggles with depression and self-doubt, the nurturing love of a mother cures all.

In a recent radio interview, Josh Jacobs stated:

“We are alike in more ways than one. Like mother, like son. Our relationship shapes the story I am articulating. The art cover is a direct reflection of the mixtape. It’s vulnerable, dark, emotional, loving, real, and describes my journey.”

While debuting the art cover for the I Know Now Mixtape, Josh Jacobs has simultaneously launched his new website, Josh Jacobs Music. The platform will allow Josh and his team to consolidate new supporters and better manage content and show information. Web designer CreativeMalini took a simplistic yet intuitive approach to building the site. The emphasis is to focus on Josh Jacobs’ music. No hype or fuss needed. Though Josh Jacobs wants to increase SoundCloud views, New York City DJs are starting to recognize the Brooklyn native’s potential and talent.

According to DJ Exeqtive of the Union, “It’s not a matter of if Josh Jacobs blow, it’s a matter of when.”

Josh Jacobs’ mixtape is slated for release April 12th on iTunes.
